One of the largest areas of addiction is in the area of sex. Addiction to sexual pleasure quite often involves an extramarital affair, the desire for a same-sex relationship, published or internet pornography, or any type of sexual encounter with someone else or by yourself. Call me old-fashioned, but any sexual situation that takes us away from the intimacy found within a marriage relationship can and will end up stealing your self-respect, freedom, self-control, and the gift of healthy sexual enjoyment. Don’t miss out on what was intended to be special and pleasurable for you and your spouse by misusing it just to get some quick self-satisfaction. You’ll appreciate this in the long run.
